In 1986, Harris School of Business was launched. The name is an amalgamation of two words: H.B. & T. Properties, an educational real estate firm. The school has been operational since its inception.
- It is located in Wilmington, North Carolina, just north of Wilmington Beach, on the New Jersey shore. In fall of each year, students and faculty participate in the school’s International Financial Aid Symposium. International Financial Aid is a program that provides assistance to undergraduate students who are unable to pay all or part of their tuition bill. This symposium is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for students to network with other international students interested in pursuing college education in the United States and around the world.

Each campus is committed to providing associates, bachelors, masters, doctoral degrees, and certificate programs in computerized accounting technology, dental assistant practices, paralegal practices, public administration/administration, business administration, finance, and legal office technology. Students can complete a four-year bachelor’s degree in business administration with the option of pursuing higher educational opportunities like an MBA, through the school’s four-year Bachelor of Business Administration program.

These programs include: The Pell grant, for low-income families who want to go to school; The SMART grant, which provides money to study for specific academic goals, including business skills; The FFEL program, which provides loans to parents who want their children to receive a higher education in higher mathematics and science; The Direct Loan, which awards federal loans to the student based on his or her family income and the college the student wants to attend; The Work Study Loan, which is available to undergraduate students only, but may be eligible for graduate students as well. Some of the available degrees are Accounting, Finance, Management, Marketing, Real Estate, Retail Management, and Health Administration.

Classes taught at this location range from associate degrees to certificates to bachelor degrees. The associate degrees can be completed in two years, while the certificates take about three years.
